Denver Nuggets vs Washington Wizards
The Denver Nuggets will travel across the country to face the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. There is a ton of betting value in this game because the Wizards are not a good basketball team compared to the Nuggets, and the spread is only 5.5 points. If this game were in Denver, the spread would be much higher.
The Nuggets are 41-28 on the season compared to the Wizards at 29-38. Washington has surprised some people because they have been known to pull upsets. Yet, most of the time, the Wizards always come up short.
I do not believe tonight will be a time for the Wizards to come up big. The team has only won three games in their past ten, and they are on a four-game losing streak. The Nuggets have been much hotter at this point, going 7-3 in their past ten. The player to watch for the Nuggets is Nikola Jokic. Jokic is one of the best players in the NBA.
He can make so many plays all over the floor. If Jokic has a big night, the Wizards do not have too much of a chance to cover the spread.
I would take the Nuggets at 5.5 because that is too valuable at this point in the season. Denver should cover this with ease on Wednesday.
Atlanta Hawks vs Charlotte Hornets
The Hawks and Hornets are very similar teams. They both have a lot of potential, but they are not the most consistent teams in the NBA. The Hawks are led by Trae Young, one of the best young players in the NBA.
The Hornets have tons of great players like Miles Bridges and LaMelo Ball. Terry Rozier has also been a great player for the team. The thing that concerns me about Atlanta is that they are on the road tonight and 0-6 ATS in their past six games. Yet, they are 5-2 SU in their last seven games. Charlotte is 4-2 ATS in their last six, so I have to lean towards the Hornets at home. They are 15-8 as favorites this season and have been tremendous ATS.
Charlotte is 37-30-2 ATS this season. When the Hornets have been good, they look like one of the most exciting teams in the game. Let’s hope they play in an exciting fashion on Wednesday night!
Philadelphia 76ers vs Cleveland Cavaliers
The Philadelphia 76ers are the favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference because they have so many talented players. There are very few teams in the east that can match up with James Harden and Joel Embiid.
Embiid is one of the best players in the game, and he has been tremendous all season. The addition of Harden has not caused his productivity to slide, so this was the main concern for Sixers when they dealt Ben Simmons to the Nets.
The Cavaliers are at home in this game, and they have been better than expected in 2021-22. The team is 39-29 and 39-27-2 ATS this season. The Sixers are 41-26 and 33-34 ATS. Philadelphia is laying four points on the road tonight, which will not be an easy task. The Sixers have not been playing great basketball as of late.
The team is 1-5 ATS this year, but 7-3 SU in their past ten. It could be a lot to ask them to cover the spread on the road.
Cleveland has been just as bad ATS in their recent games. The team is 4-8 ATS in their last 12 games.
Dallas Mavericks vs Brooklyn Nets
The Dallas Mavericks will travel to Brooklyn to face the Nets on Wednesday night. The Nets are 36-33 on the season, but they are not as good as the Mavericks and Luka Doncic. The Mavericks have been sensational this season with their 42-26 record on the season.
The team is also 39-28-1 ATS this season. They are 8-2 SU in their past ten games. The Nets have won four straight games, but they are just 5-5 in their past ten contests.
This seems like a trap game for the Mavericks against a surging Brooklyn team. Yet, Dallas is a much better team than Brooklyn, so it’s tough to balance.
