Best NFL Football Games to Bet in Week 4
What makes the NFL season fun is trying to figure out how long certain players can wear the glass slippery. Oftentimes, players will have a strong run before fading as the rest of the league figures them out. When it comes to one of the best matchups for Week 4, it will feature a matchup where one team's quarterback may start to slump eventually.
Here's a look at some of the best games to bet on for Week 4. See all the NFL Odds Here
Dallas Cowboys (-3) vs. Washington Commanders
Many were ready to write the obituary for the Dallas Cowboys following an injury to Dak Prescott in Week 1. Central Michigan product Cooper Rush has been an excellent second option throughout his career. Rush is 3-0 during his career when he starts for the Cowboys.
While Rush's numbers won't earn him any postseason awards, they have been solid enough to help lead Dallas to two wins. The Cowboys have a strong running game and will be able to use that enough to keep the pressure off Rush. Rush also has yet to throw an interception. Washington has had a nightmarish start to the season.
The Commanders have lost two straight and have seen quarterback Carson Wentz struggle since he came over in free agency. Washington was embarrassed in a 24-8 loss to the Eagles last week. Dallas will win this one and cover the spread.
Minnesota Vikings (-2.5) vs. New Orleans Saints
The Jameis Winston era in New Orleans has been submarined by turnovers. The Saints won the season-opener against Atlanta after Winston didn't turn the ball over. However, in the two games since, Winston has thrown five interceptions in losses to Tampa Bay and Carolina.
Minnesota would like to build off the momentum from its win over Detroit last week. The Vikings were able to rally late to hold off an intense challenge from the Lions. Minnesota may be without running back Dalvin Cook for the game in London, as the Vikings running back has a shoulder injury and is questionable.
Kirk Cousins wasn't efficient against the Lions, completing 24-of-41 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns, but he didn't turn the ball over and threw two touchdown passes. Minnesota will grab its third international win in the past ten years.
Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5) vs. New York Jets
The question the Jets will have to wrestle with is what to do with quarterback Zach Wilson. There is a good chance New York will see the former first-round pick adjust to getting back to regular game action after being injured in the preseason. The Jets have been playing veteran quarterback Joe Flacco, who did lead New York to a comeback win over the Cleveland Browns two weeks ago.
The Steelers have major issues on both sides of the ball. Pittsburgh's pass rush has slowed down since T.J. Watt went out with an injury. The Steelers also haven't found their groove on offense. Pittsburgh quarterback Mitch Trubisky hasn't been able to push the ball down the field.
The Steelers really need to win this game as their schedule following the battle with New York won't be kind. Pittsburgh will have to take on Buffalo, Tampa Bay, Miami, and Philadelphia after battling the Jets. If the Steelers don't win this one, it could be a nasty few months for Pittsburgh.
The Steelers will win by a touchdown and cover the spread. Pittsburgh is hoping to avoid sending rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett into the fire. If Trubisky can buy the franchise a few more weeks with a strong performance, things will likely be much easier for all involved.
Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Keep an eye on where this game ends up getting played. As of Thursday morning, the NFL planned to keep the game in Tampa Bay, but as Florida is getting batted by Hurricane Ian, there is a chance the game will be moved to Minneapolis if the weather gets worse. The Chiefs took a tough loss to Indianapolis last week.
Kansas City gave up the winning touchdown in the fourth quarter. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes only threw for 262 yards and a touchdown last week. Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady likely could like feel Mahomes' frustration last week. Tampa Bay only scored 12 points in a loss to Green Bay.
The Buccaneers' offense struggled while missing Mike Evans at wide receiver, who was suspended following a scuffle the week before. This is a tough game for both teams, but the Chiefs will grab a win in a Super Bowl rematch from a couple of seasons ago.
