Best Prop Bets to Make for Super Bowl LVI
Best Super Bowl Prop Bets
Super Bowl Sunday is almost here, and this year’s matchup is epic to be very competitive. The hungry Cincinnati Bengals will battle the favored Los Angeles Rams in the City of the Stars. When it comes to the money line and spread, Cincinnati has attracted a lot of cash.
However, the Rams are still dominating the betting markets. Los Angeles is better in nearly all phases of the game, but there is something about the Bengals. When it comes to making your pick for the winner, I wish you the best.
I am riding with Cincinnati ATS, but the value for this game could be in the player prop markets. Player props are great because we take out a lot of outside circumstances. For example, if we bet on a quarterback, the player’s defense does not matter. This is not the case when betting a spread or money line bet. Let’s get into the best props to make for Super Bowl LVI.
Matthew Stafford to win MVP (+120)
If you like the Rams to win, this prop is an easy decision. Matthew Stafford has been through a lot in Detroit, and he has led the Rams to the Super Bowl in his first season. Additionally, quarterbacks always win the MVP.
It should not be called the MVP award. It should be titled the Most Valuable Quarterback. Stafford will be the reason the Rams win if the team gets the job done. Cooper Kupp should have a big game, but voters love giving the MVP to quarterbacks.
If you think the Bengals will win, fade this prop and switch out Joe Burrow. It’s nearly a guarantee a quarterback will win MVP. The question is which quarterback will get the job done.
Joe Burrow u276.5 Passing Yards
I think both quarterbacks will come up big in the Super Bowl LVI. Both teams are in the Super Bowl because they have terrific signal-callers.
Joe Burrow is young, and he is playing with nothing to lose. However, I think Zac Taylor will hold him back early in the game. Taylor tried to establish the run game in the AFC Championship, which put Burrow in difficult situations on third down. The way Burrow gets over this total is if Taylor throws on first down. I do not see this happening until later in the game.
Cincinnati does not protect, but they are efficient in the run game. I think the Bengals try and show they are a violent team and control the trenches. This will equate to Burrow staying under his yardage total.
Joe Mixon u63.5 Rushing Yards
Joe Mixon is a Pro Bowl back with tremendous skill. He can run through or away from defenders.
However, he will face a strong rushing defense in the Los Angeles Rams. Aaron Donald is a force in the middle, and he will have a field day. Donald is the best football player in the world and very hard to block. The Bengals have not seen a defensive lineman like him this season. This will make it hard for Mixon to go over his total.
If you can find a carries total for Mixon, I would take the over on that bet. Taylor will run the football until the rock breaks. I just do not see this happening on Sunday.
Odell Beckham Jr. o5.5 Receptions
A lot of players have something to prove in this football game. One of the athletes with something to prove is Odell Beckham Jr. The Browns underutilized Beckham Jr., and they did not believe in the wide receiver.
Since Beckham Jr. has come to Los Angeles, he has been very efficient. In the past two games, he has hit this total with ease. Beckham was the star of the NFC Championship Game, hauling in nine catches for 113 yards. The Bengals will be forced to focus on Cooper Kupp, which should open up Beckham Jr. for catches and yards.
Cooper Kupp o104.5 Receiving Yards
Cooper Kupp’s receiving total is high, but he is the best at his position in the NFL. Every week, defensive coordinators try to shut down Kupp, but they have no luck. He is nearly impossible to defend, and the Bengals are not great in the secondary.
Kupp has gone over 140 yards in his past two games. He is a big-play machine that knows how to get open.
It does not matter if he is doubled in coverage. This is a great bet for this reason.
Ja’Marr Chase u78.5 Receiving Yards
Ja’Marr Chase is fantastic, but he is still learning. The Chiefs did a great job shutting him down, and I think the Rams will do the same. I expect Jalen Ramsey to be on him all day. He will have some yards, but other players must step up for the Bengals.
