Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Wisconsin Badgers
The one conference game to focus on this weekend takes place in the Big Ten as the Ohio State Buckeyes host the Wisconsin Badgers. Both teams are now in the AP rankings, and this game will have a big impact on the Big Ten Conference title race.
Ohio State will try to speed up the tempo in this game while Wisconsin wants to win it with defense. The Buckeyes score 76 points per game while Wisconsin holds teams to less than 60 points per game. E.J. Liddell is averaging 19.8 points and seven rebounds per game to carry the Buckeyes. Johnny Davis is scoring nearly 21 points per game for Wisconsin, and the Badgers can really shoot.
Big Ten games always have a tendency to come down to the wire, but Ohio State is the more complete team in this matchup. Start off your weekend parlay by betting on Liddell and the Buckeyes.
Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Arizona Wildcats
The 8-0 Arizona Wildcats travel to Champaign-Urbana on Saturday for a matchup with the 7-2 Illinois Fighting Illini. Despite not being in the same conference, Arizona and Illinois have delivered some amazing moments over the years.
Arizona already has a blowout win over Michigan on their resume, and the Wildcats are scoring over 91 points per game. This was supposed to be a down year for Arizona, but a win over Illinois would cement them as a top team in college basketball.
It’s been a strange year for Illinois, but the Fighting Illini appear to have some things figured out. Illinois is 7-2 on the season, and they are led by one of the best players in college basketball. All-American center Kofi Cockburn is a double-double machine, and he could easily have 30 points and 20 rebounds in this game. Illinois is also getting great shooting from Alfonso Plummer, who is scoring nearly 16 points per game.
The Wildcats can score, but it will be the defense of Illinois that sets the tone. Arizona has gotten off to a great start, but Illinois wins this game at home.
Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Houston Cougars
The third game to include in your parlay takes place late Saturday night, but it is a matchup that is can’t-miss. Alabama hosts Houston in a game featuring a pair of one-loss teams that are going to be in the NCAA Tournament. The Crimson Tide are scoring over 86 points per game this season, but they also give up 71 a night. Alabama plays extremely fast, and that will turn this game into a track meet on Saturday night.
Houston reached the Final Four a season ago by being one of the best defensive teams in the country. The Cougars are holding teams to just 53.4 points per game this season, but slowing down Alabama is no easy task. Three-point shooting is going to determine which team wins this game, and both teams will shoot a ton from deep. Houston has the starting five to keep up with Alabama, but the Crimson Tide are deeper.
Expect a high-scoring affair on Saturday night, but Alabama is the third team you need to include in your parlay.
Baylor Bears vs. Villanova Wildcats
The Big East-Big 12 Battle has put together a number of great matchups, but the biggest of them all will take place on Sunday. Baylor gets to be the hosts for this matchup, and that should play a pretty big role in this battle of top-10 teams.
Baylor is the defending national champion, and they have stormed out to a perfect 8-0 start this season. The Bears are beating teams by nearly 28 points per game, and they have defeated some pretty good teams along the way. Villanova has gone 7-2 on the year, and the Wildcats have won four straight games. Jay Wright’s squad is loaded with talent, but they have a size disadvantage in this matchup.
Baylor is scoring over 84 points per game, and they are also ferocious on the defensive end of the floor. Villanova is going to play well on Sunday, but the Wildcats just don’t have enough inside scoring to win.
Complete your weekend parlay by betting on the Villanova Wildcats.
