New York Knicks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
The first game to focus on takes place on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden as the New York Knicks host the Minnesota Timberwolves. Both teams are right around the .500 mark for the year, and the betting spread for this matchup should be relatively close.
This game will feature a battle of big men as Julius Randle of the Knicks is set to take on Karl-Anthony Towns of the Timberwolves. The team that wins the battle in the paint will likely win this game, and the Knicks simply have to be that team. The Knicks entered the week having won three straight games, and they are playing their best basketball of the season. Minnesota has struggled on the road all season long, and this is not going to be an easy test.
With a small spread likely, this should be a great chance to bet on the home team. Take the New York Knicks at home on Tuesday night over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Chicago Bulls vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
The Chicago Bulls have been the talk of the NBA this season, but the Cleveland Cavaliers haven’t been far behind. Both teams are near the top of the Eastern Conference, and this should be a terrific battle on Wednesday night.
Chicago entered the week having lost three straight games, and they were facing some of the best teams in the league. The Bulls are also dealing with some injuries, including one to Zach LaVine. Cleveland is a team that is loaded with size, and that could give the Bulls some trouble. The fact that this game is being played in Chicago does give the Bulls a pretty big advantage, and that will be the difference in this game.
This should be a highly-entertaining game, but it will be one that is won by the Chicago Bulls as they start to get back on track.
Golden State Warriors vs. Indiana Pacers
There are two games to focus on when betting the NBA Thursday night, and one of the matchups takes place in Golden State. The Warriors are set to host the Indiana Pacers, and the road team in this matchup has really struggled throughout the year.
The Warriors are playing without Draymond Green, and that has hurt them on the defensive end of the floor. Golden State does have Klay Thompson back in the mix, though, and that has made them a tough team to stop when they have the basketball. Indiana is led by Domantas Sabonis and his 18.9 points per game. The Pacers have a couple of their guards that are dealing with some injuries, and that’s not going to be good when they are taking on Curry and Thompson.
This game might get out of hand in a hurry as the Warriors are going to cruise to a blowout win.
Phoenix Suns vs. Dallas Mavericks
The second game to bet on Thursday night takes place in Dallas as the Mavericks host the Phoenix Suns. The Mavericks have started to turn things around of late, but they are facing a Suns team that has gone 33-9 on the year.
You can expect plenty of points in this matchup as each team really likes to push the ball and score some points. Dallas doesn’t always play well on the defensive end of the floor, and that is going to create a real problem against the Suns. This should be a highly-entertaining game, but it will be one that is ultimately controlled by the Suns.
Boston Celtics vs. Portland Trail Blazers
The final game to bet on this week takes place on Friday night as the Boston Celtics host the Portland Trail Blazers. Not only is this game a good betting opportunity, but it is also a matchup of two extremely disappointing teams.
Boston entered play on Monday with a record of 22-22, and that has them in the middle of the pack in the Eastern Conference. The duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have done their part, but they haven’t always gotten a ton of help. Portland entered the week at 17-25, and this franchise might be needing to shake things up at the trade deadline. The Trail Blazers are playing without Damian Lillard, and that has really hurt the offense.
Things haven’t always gone well for the Celtics this season, but they are going to beat the Trail Blazers on Friday night.
