NFL Wild Card Weekend Betting Picks
It is time to finish the season strong. 13 games remain in the National Football League. 6 this weekend, 4 next weekend, and then the final 3. Let’s get right to our NFL Wildcard Weekend Betting Picks:
Houston Texans +125 over Cleveland Browns
The first game of the weekend goes to the home team. In an upset. The Browns are favorites because they have looked good as of late, and beat Houston on Christmas Eve. That win was without Stroud playing for Houston. The rookie signal caller will play in this game, and it will be his first postseason win of his career. Houston wins a big-time game at home over the Browns, and is the third team to enter the round of 8. We will take the Texans 27-21 over the Browns on Saturday.
Kansas City Chiefs -4.5 over Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins led the AFC East the entire season, until they fell apart late in the season. Now, instead of hosting teams on South Beach, they are forced to go on the road. Now, they are on the road, in the cold, playing poor football, against the Super Bowl Champions. This one just has the makings of a poor end of the season for the Dolphins. These two teams played in Germany in November, with the Chiefs winning by a touchdown. They are going to win easier this time. The Dolphins are also very beat up. Kansas City wins this game 31-17 over the Dolphins on Saturday night.
Buffalo Bills -10 over Pittsburgh Steelers
These two both have wild stories to tell about how they got to the postseason. Both teams are hot right now. Mason Rudolph is the starting quarterback for Pittsburgh. He will go to Orchard Park in the freezing cold and snow and look to beat the red hot Bills. Josh Allen has been reckless, but the loss of TJ Watt is a massive one for Pittsburgh. That sets their defense back alot. The Bills are going to make quick and easy work of the Steelers. Pittsburgh appreciates their trip to the big dance, but an early exit has them preparing for 2024. Buffalo wins this game 27-13 over the Steelers on Sunday.
Dallas Cowboys -7.5 over Green Bay Packers
The Dallas Cowboys at home seem to be on a different level. No one has figured out how to beat the Cowboys in Dallas yet. Now, it’s Jordan Love and his unproven Packers offensive unit getting the first playoff crack at it. Dak Prescott to CeeDee Lamb has proven to be a combination that is tough to defend in the league. Now sure the Packers secondary is up for that task. THe Packers have the youngest roster in the postseason. Look for Dallas to exploit that, and their overall inexperience. The Cowboys win this game easily. Take Dallas 38-17 over Green Bay on Sunday.
Los Angeles Rams +140 over Detroit Lions
The first road team to win a playoff game on the weekend. We like the Los Angeles Rams, and their experience, and ability to find ways to get the job done. The Rams have shown they have weapons after weapons. The Lions ability to play offense at home is a huge factor, but the Rams have the pieces to contend with them. When push comes to shove, we are going to trust the defense of the Rams over the defense of the Lions. Matthew Stafford is not scared of going to Detroit. A place he is very comfortable with. A fun story for Detroit this season, but the Rams end the party. Los Angeles wins this game by a final score of 31-30 over the Lions in the best game of the weekend.
Philadelphia Eagles -3 over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The second road team to win a playoff game on the weekend. This is a favorite though. The Monday Night Football game, and the final team to get into the round of 8. The Philadelphia Eagles are the defending NFC Champions, but have played poor football down the stretch. Tampa Bay is playing in the postseason for the third straight season. Baker Mayfield to Mike Evans has been a great connection. But, the Eagles know what is on the line, and they are going to be prepared and play much better football. Look for Jalen Hurts to have a solid game, and the Eagles win late. Take Philadelphia 24-20 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday.
There you have it! Those are our NFL Wild Card Weekend Betting Picks. If these winners happen, we have the Ravens taking on the Texans, and the Chiefs at the Bills in the AFC. In the NFC, the 49ers would get the Rams, and the Eagles would go to the Cowboys. Good luck with all your betting and enjoy the games! We will be back next weekend with our divisional round picks!
