College Basketball: Conference Tournament Betting Picks
It is conference tournament week in College Basketball. It’s going to be a fun week of action on the hardwood all throughout the country. We have some Conference Tournament betting picks for the six big conferences in the game. We are going to do them in two parts. Here is part 2:
Pac 12
-
Arizona Wildcats -175 - The Wildcats are coming off a road loss at USC on Saturday. That was not a great way to end the regular season, but they still won the Pac-12 title. The title came because Washington upset Washington State as well. Arizona is one of the most talented offensive teams in the nation.
-
Colorado Buffaloes +500 - Colorado is playing some of the best basketball in the country. The Buffaloes have won six straight games. At 22-9, they should be in the big dance, but a few ones would to them well in this tournament. The Buffaloes are the 3 seed.
-
Washington State Cougars +550 - The loss to rival Washington was disappointing, as they had a chance to be the top seed in the Pac-12 tournament. Despite that, at 23-8, they will be dancing. It will be interesting to see how far they go in the conference tournament.
-
Oregon Ducks +1000 - We are going to go with some madness that the small schools will not like. The Oregon Ducks are our pick to win the Pac-12 title. At 20-11 and 12-8 in the league, the Ducks have talent, but they have not consistently put it together. This weekend they will, and take it down. Ducks are 10/1 odds!
Pac 12 Pick: Oregon Ducks +1000. Well coached, play hard, play smart and make shots. The Ducks win the Pac-12 tournament and reach the dance!
Big East
-
UConn Huskies -135 - It has been a fun season for Coach Hurley and his defending champions. The Huskies have just three losses on the season. They are big favorites to win this tournament.
-
Creighton Blue Jays +425 - One of the best shooting teams in the nation. The Blue Jays make nearly 11 three point shots per game. Look for the Blue Jays to come out on fire looking to prove they are for real.
-
Marquette Golden Eagles +500 - Kam Jones was good, but the Golden Eagles, without Tyler Kolek, cannot beat the big-time teams in College Basketball. Look for him to sit this weekend to get ready for the big dance.
-
Saint John's Storm +800 - This is a red-hot basketball team. Coach Pitino’s kids have won five straight games. They are coming off a home win over Georgetown. Now, with a win or two in the Big East tournament, the Storm should be dancing. They are listed at 8/1 odds to win it all at Madison Square Garden.
Big East Pick: Creighton Blue Jays +425. The Blue Jays ability to knock down shots is what sets them apart. They are able to get by UConn in the title game. Their biggest break may come when Tyler Kolek does not play in the semi finals.
SEC
-
Tennessee Volunteers +135 - The Volunteers are the favorites after winning the regular season title. Tennessee went 24-7 and 14-4 in conference play. They lost their regular season finale at home to Kentucky, but they had the league wrapped up before that. Tennessee has the best player in the league in Dalton Knecht. He is scoring 20.7 points per game.
-
Auburn Tigers +250- Bruce Pearl’s team heads into the league tournament with three straight wins. They beat Georgia at home on Saturday. The Tigers are another high flying team, but no how to put defensive shoes on. They will be tough to beat come tournament time.
-
Kentucky Wildcats +375 - The WIldcats are 8-2 in their last 10 games, and have won five straight. They could make a major surge as they head into the big dance with a few more wins this coming weekend. Antonio Reeves is red hot for the Wildcats with 20+ points in seven straight games.
-
Alabama Crimson Tide +450 - The Crimson Tide needed the win, and got back into the win column by beating Arkansas In overtime on Saturday. The Crimson Tide head into the tournament as the top scoring team in the nation at 90.8 points per game.
SEC Pick: Kentucky Wildcats +400. John Calipari seems to have his kids playing at their best level right now. Kentucky is figuring things out on the defensive end. Kentucky cuts down the nets for the title here.
There you have it. Those are our Conference Tournament betting picks for this week. We are excited for the big dance, and the action that will go on throughout the week. Best of luck with all your College Basketball betting! Enjoy the madness!
