Los Angeles Dodgers +310
It’s been another fun start for the Los Angeles Dodgers Not only is Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani coming through with big offensive starts to the season, Will Smith is hitting .400 for the Dodgers. The pitching for Los Angeles has not been elite yet, but the front end of their rotation is just about as good as anyone in the league. The Dodgers have had very little competition at the top of the National League West so far, and if that continues it will be cruise control for the boys in blue from Los Angeles.
Atlanta Braves +400
The class of the National League East again. The Braves though look like they could be without their ace Spencer Strider to injury. That is a massive concern, because are the Braves equipped enough with starting pitching to win it all? They should not have a problem getting to the postseason. It appears only the Phillies will be a threat in the division. The offense for Atlanta has been great again, and we expect Ronald Acuna to pick his game up a bit as the weather heats up.
New York Yankees +750
The Yankees are loving the offensive production they are getting from their young shortstop Anthony Volpe. Giancarlo Stanton has started the season hitting for some power, and Aaron Judge is back in the lineup. Gerrit Cole has yet to throw a pitch for the Yankees, and they are one of the best pitching teams in the league to start the season. Can the Bronx Bombers keep it up is the biggest question? New York is listed at +750, and the best odds of any team in the American League.
Houston Astros +950
It has not been a great start for the Houston Astros thus far. The Astros are 4-8 to start the season. Fortunately, for them, the American League West has kept them in the race so far. Houston is 18th in runs scored, despite their 16 home runs. The pitching is allowing just 4.2 runs per game. They are just struggling to put it all together and win games. The Astros have four losses by a single run already this season. They will look to turn that around now that the first couple weeks are complete.
Baltimore Orioles +1300
The excitement in Baltimore is rising a bit. Jackson Holliday, the top pick in the draft has been called up, and here we go. The Orioles are already scoring 5.4 runs per game. Baltimore though has not been hitting a ton of home runs, with just 9 on the season. We do not expect Holliday to come in and jack a ton of homeruns, but the excitement could lead the offense to a surge. Baltimore is 4th in the league in runs allowed. Corbin Burnes has been strong in his first season with the team. It is going to be quite the battle in the American League East for the Orioles, who won it last season.
Texas Rangers +1500
The defending World Series Champions are right above .500 to start the season. Texas lost their final two games at home to the Astros, and then started a series on Tuesday by losing to Oakland. The Rangers are 4th in the league in batting average, as they are hitting .272 per game. The Rangers pitching has also been fairly strong, as they are allowing just 6.7 hits per game. Texas is looking forward to getting Jacob DeGrom and Max Scherzer, and even Michael Lorenzen back into the mix to help the pitching staff. Offensively, Corey Seager has off to a quick start, with a .368 average, while Adolis Garcia has popped four long balls.
