Week 8 NFL Bets to Consider
Okay, so Week 7 was one to forget. Not great. Interesting scores. Bad bets. We move on. It’s time for some Week 8 picks.
Buffalo Bills -8.5 over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buffalo Bills are looking to get back on track after some major struggles against the Patriots. Josh Allen has not looked himself, and the run game for Buffalo has struggled. The biggest story could be the inability to get a stop late in the game against a Mac Jones-led offense.
But, now the Bills take on a Tampa Bay team that is beat up and coming off short rest. This has got to be a good get-right spot for Buffalo. They continue to burn the public with a narrow win over the Giants and a loss to the Patriots. Allen has enough weapons to make this a 10-point win for the Bills.
Taking the Bills here is the right move at home.
Miami Dolphins -9.5 over New England Patriots
The Miami Dolphins lost their second game of the year last weekend. The Dolphins now have losses to the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles.
While their wins have not been over anyone good - the Patriots are not one of those good teams. Jalen Waddle could miss this game for the Dolphins as the injuries mount up a little for Tua and the Miami offense.
But, Tyreke Hill is there, and that seems to be enough. Look for Hill to be heavily involved, and the underrated Miami defense get after Mac Jones. Do not be surprised if the Dolphins defense scores in this game.
Take the Dolphins by double digits here.
Minnesota Vikings -1 at Green Bay Packers
One of the best wins in Week 7 was the Minnesota Vikings. To be able to take down San Francisco was a massive step in the right direction for Minnesota. This win was without Justin Jefferson. The win was without much in the way of running the football.
Now, the Vikings are looking to stack victories with a trip to Green Bay. This Packers team stinks right now.
They struggled and lost to the Broncos after losing to the Raiders. Jordan Love is not finding a connection with his receivers, and this is another team that simply cannot run the football.
Despite the game being in Green Bay, the Vikings use the connection Kirk Cousins found with Jordan Addison and his crew, and the Vikings win a massive road game.
Dallas Cowboys -6.5 over Los Angeles Rams
Dak Prescott and his Cowboys are coming off their bye week to get healthy and ready for McVay’s Rams. Dallas beat the Chargers on Monday Night Football before the break.
The Rams have seen the same issue as several other teams in the league. They cannot run the ball. The Dallas defense is going to make sure Cooper Kupp does not beat them in this and do the best they can to contain Puka Nacua.
The Rams have a make-shift running back room, and while Henderson got into the end zone last week, they could not keep a sustained running attack.
Look for the Cowboys to take advantage of that and win by a touchdown or more.
Philadelphia Eagles -6.5 at Washington Commanders
The Commanders gave the Eagles all they could handle the last time they played. But that was just less than a month ago. Look for Philadelphia to have solved some things and watched enough film to figure out what they need to do to make sure that does not happen again.
If the Commanders are not careful, they are going to get their quarterback, Sam Howell, hurt. He leads the league, being sacked 40 times already this season.
Look for the Philadelphia defense to smell blood and get into the backfield. On the offensive side, Jalen Hurts to AJ Brown is one of the best connections in the league.
The Eagles win on the road by 10.
Baltimore Ravens -8.5 at Arizona Cardinals
It feels like the Arizona Cardinals have kind of lost the luster they had early in the season. After the win over Dallas, things have gone south a bit for Arizona. Joshua Dobbs is doing fine behind center but is running out of options with his offensive weapons.
The Arizona defense kept them in the game against Seattle, but going against Lamar Jackson is a different animal. It’s an East Coast team going west, but that seems to be something Jackson does not have an issue with.
Take the Ravens by double digits on Sunday.
Others in Consideration
- Seattle Seahawks -3 over Cleveland Browns
- Kansas City Chiefs -7.5 over Denver Broncos - Rematch of Week 6 Tilt.
- Chicago Bears +9 at Los Angeles Chargers - Sunday Night Football.
- Detroit Lions -8.5 over Las Vegas Raiders - Monday Night Football.
There you have it. Those are our favorite Week 8 NFL Bets to Consider. Best of luck, and enjoy the games, and as always - we will be back next week!
