Minnesota Twins over the Texas Rangers
Casual baseball fans know that the Minnesota Twins are horrendous at baseball. However, they have a talented team on paper. The issue with Minnesota is that nothing has gone in their favor this season. Minnesota was projected to challenge the White Sox for the American League Central title, but they are currently 27-41 and 15.5 games out of first place. The team has no way to recover from this margin in 2021.
So why should you bet on Minnesota today?
There are two reasons to include the Twins in your parlay for Friday. The first reason is that they are playing the Texas Rangers. The Rangers are worse than the Twins with a record of 25-43.
Texas has a horrendous offense that makes Minnesota’s lineup look like All-Stars. The second reason to wager the Twins is due to Jose Berrios being on the bump. Berrios has developed into the ace of Minnesota’s staff ahead of Kenta Maeda. Berrios is having a terrific season relative to his team. He is 7-2 with a 3.49 ERA. He has struck out 81 batters in 77.1 innings. He will pitch against Mike Foltynewicz, who is 1-7 with a 5.48 ERA.
If the Twins cannot generate runs against Foltynewicz, there is a severe problem.
Houston Astros over the Chicago White Sox
Many people throughout baseball believe the White Sox are the best team in the American League. I am not sold on Chicago because of their strength of schedule. The team has one of the easiest slates in baseball.
When Chicago does compete against teams above .500, they have not had much luck. This was evident in Thursday’s contest against the Houston Astros.
Houston bested Chicago by a 10-2 margin. The White Sox did not have an answer for anything Houston did on Thursday. I expect Friday’s game to resemble a similar outcome, and that’s why you should bet on the Astros. Carlos Rodon is on the mound for Chicago. He has been fantastic with a 1.89 ERA, but his opponent, Luis Garcia, has also been respectable. Garcia, the 24-year-old, has a 2.98 ERA in 63.1 innings of work.
Nick Madrigal’s injury has seemed to affect the White Sox. Houston is also dealing with injuries currently, with Alex Bregman recently heading to the ten-day IL.
The Astros are still loaded with talent, and they are an under-the-radar club. This is one pick that has great value because it’s slightly risky, according to sportsbooks. Nevertheless, Houston can beat Chicago any night of the week. This was obvious in their blowout win on Thursday.
Milwaukee Brewers over the Colorado Rockies
The Brewers are starting to make their playoff push in the National League Central. This division race is going to come down to them and the Chicago Cubs. Every game is critical for Milwaukee, especially against teams under .500.
The Brewers will face the Rockies on Friday, who are 29-41. Colorado won the first game of this series, but I expect Milwaukee to bounce back this evening. A significant reason that the Brewers will win tonight is because Corbin Burnes is on the hill. The Brewers win with pitching and defense. Burnes has been one of the best in baseball this season.
He has 102 strikeouts in 63.1 innings. His dominant strikeouts ability has translated to a 2.27 ERA. If the Brewers cannot beat the Rockies with Burnes on the hill, they might as well stop trying because the Cubs will take the division with ease.
Los Angeles Dodgers over the Arizona Diamondbacks
The Arizona Diamondbacks have collected the title of worst team in baseball after a terrible two months. Arizona was expected to be average, but they have been awful in 2021. On Friday, it will be difficult for them to find a necessary win.
The D-backs will face the best team in baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers. To make matters worse, they will have to face Trevor Bauer, the reigning NL Cy Young winner.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers are so strong in the rotation and at the plate. It’s going to be hard for them to lose on Friday. This is a safe pick that will add betting value to your parlay. Los Angeles is dealing with a slew of injuries, but they still have one of the best lineups in baseball. Depth wins in MLB, and this will be apparent when LA travels to Arizona on Friday.
