NFL Week 17 Betting Picks
It is time for Week 17 in the National Football League. What a season it has been so far, and it is time to end the regular season strong with two weeks of action. Week 17 first. Let’s get to our picks for the games:
Dallas Cowboys -6 over Detroit Lions
The Cowboys are at home? Sign us up! The Cowboys have dropped back to back games, but going back home, we love their chances over the Lions. Detroit has been really good. In fact, the Lions are in a three way tie for the top of the NFC. But, Jared Goff on the road, against a really hungry Dallas defense? Take the Cowboys to beat the Lions and put the pressure on the Eagles to win in Week 17. Remember, the Cowboys own the tiebreaker over the Eagles for the divisional title if they end up tying in records.
Buffalo Bills -12 over New England Patriots
The New England Patriots have actually played good football as of late. But, this is a team that still can't score enough. Bailey Zappe has been better for the Patriots, but now they are going to need a miracle to beat this Bills team. Buffalo is making the postseason, and this game is going to get them there. Look for a big game from Josh Allen and the Bills beat the Patriots by 2+ touchdowns on Sunday. A win here and a Dolphins loss to the Ravens would put a Week 18 game up for grabs with the winner between the Bills and Dolphins winning the AFC East.
Los Angeles Rams -6 over New York Giants
The Rams are in the six seed in the NFC. Matthew Stafford is finding his weapons all over the field. Look for the Rams to put it on New York. The Giants battled last week, but they have a quarterback issue with either Taylor or DeVito. Neither of them have been very good, and we are not concerned with the Rams heading East to take on the Giants. Los Angeles wins this game by a touchdown or more to move a game closer to the postseason out of the NFC. A potential battle against the Eagles or Lions will be a fun test for the Rams.
Seattle Seahawks -3.5 over Pittsburgh Steelers
Despite the win for the Steelers last week, we are not quite ready to buy into them making the postseason. Seattle, led by head coach Pete Carroll look poised to be heading out of the NFC. They have back to back wins in thrilling fashion. It’s hard to imagine Mason Rudolph can get the job done against a fast and talented Seattle defense. The Seahawks win this game and put the Steelers chances to rest.
Chicago Bears -3 over Atlanta Falcons
Chicago, at home, with a motivated Justin Fields. The Bears are not making the postseason, but Fields would love to finish strong for a chance to be the starting quarterback for this franchise in the future. Fields has been able to run all over, and then find open receivers when needed. Atlanta is a team that is in the mix in the NFC South, but they are running out of gas. Despite their win last week, they are going to be a different team being forced to go on the road here. Take the Bears by more than a field goal over the Falcons.
Cincinnati Bengals +7 over Kansas City Chiefs
It’s back against the wall football for the Cincinnati Bengals Jake Browning and the Bengals were not great last week, losing to Pittsburgh. Now, a tough test against Kansas City will make or break their chances for the postseason. For the Chiefs, they are going to be steaming coming into the game off the loss to the Raiders at home. Look for Cincinnati to compete with all they can in this game. The Bengals cover the spread in this game on Sunday.
