NFL Best Bets Week 16
The National Football League has moved to Week 16 of the season. This one and two more to figure out what 14 teams are going to head to the postseason and have a shot at the Super Bowl. There are some great games on the slate for Week 16. Let’s take a look at our favorite NFL Week 16 Betting Picks:
Los Angeles Rams -4 over New Orleans Saints
This is a monster game for NFC Playoff positioning. The Rams hold the 7th seed, and the Saints are in a tie for their divisional lead. The Rams have thrown the football really well as of late, and Kyren Williams has been a godsend to the offense. The Saints defense has not given up a touchdown in the last two games. That is about to change. The Rams offense outshines the Saints defense, and they are able to win this game at home. Take the Rams -4 over the Saints on Thursday Night Football.
Buffalo Bills -12 over Los Angeles Chargers
One of the two Saturday games. Josh Allen and the Bills are looking to make it three in a row with a game on the road. The Bills are right in the thick of things in the AFC Playoff picture. Buffalo will need to win this one to have any further chance. Do not expect this to be a problem going against a lame duck Chargers team. While Los Angeles may not completely give up like they did on Brandon Staley last week, they still just are not very good. The Bills are winning this game by two touchdowns on the road Saturday.
Green Bay Packers -5 over Carolina Panthers
The Packers have struggled the last two weeks with losses to the Giants and the Buccaneers. Green Bay is going to need to get back on track if they still want a shot at the postseason. Winning out would give them a chance. They get a Carolina team that really probably should not win another game. Although, for them, it does not matter, as their top pick is going to go to the Chicago Bears. Look for Jordan Love to get back on track with a win here. The Packers win by a touchdown over the Panthers on Sunday.
Detroit Lions -3.5 over Minnesota Vikings
The Detroit Lions are ready to put the NFC North to bed. The Lions need just one more win, and this is going to be it. Nick Mullens and the Vikings just are not ready for Detroit. Sure, it’s a road game, but on turf in Minnesota is not a bad place to be. The Lions use their ground game, and Goff gets his passing going and the Lions run away and hide in this one. Detroit with the win positions themselves to fight for seeding in the final two weeks of the season.
Miami Dolphins -1.5 over Dallas Cowboys
The highest-scoring teams in the National Football League getting together on South Beach. The Cowboys have gone from beating the Eagles to getting blown out in Buffalo. Now, a trip to South Florida before Christmas. This is not going to be an easy test, and we like Tyreke Hill to come back and play in this one. Hill on one side and CeeDee Lamb on the other. Time to get your popcorn ready. In the end, neither team has beaten many good teams. Miami wins this one on at home in a battle of contenders with plenty of question marks.
Denver Broncos -6.5 over New England Patriots
Sunday Night Football. If the Broncos want any chance at the postseason they have to get by one of the worst teams in the league. Sean Payton and Russell Wilson are not going to let their Broncos overlook this one. Denver wins easily at home on Christmas Eve.
Kansas City Chiefs -10 over Las Vegas Raiders
Can the Chiefs score enough to beat the Raiders by 10 or more? Last time they won by 17. Look for nearly an identical game. This time it’s in Kansas City. Patrick Mahomes and company feel good about themselves following this one, as the Chiefs move to 10-5. The Raiders work hard, but just do not have the talent here. Take the Chiefs -10 at home!
San Francisco 49ers -5.5 over Baltimore Ravens
The showdown on Christmas Night. This is a test for both teams, but one the 49ers are going to pass. They have shown they can pass whatever test is thrown at them. San Francisco wins their 7th straight and basically locks up the NFC. The loss will hurt more for Baltimore, as they will now have to beat Miami to keep the top seed in the AFC.
Others to Consider:
-
Indianapolis Colts +1 over Atlanta Falcons
-
Chicago Bears -4 over Arizona Cardinals
-
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -1 over Jacksonville Jaguars
Enjoy the games! Good luck! Merry Christmas! Back next week for one more in 2023!
