Week 15 NFL Picks
Free NFL Bets: Week 15
There are now just four weeks remaining in the 2021 NFL season as Week 15 is set to begin on Thursday night. Unlike in previous seasons, no playoff spots have been claimed through 14 weeks, and that is going to add to the drama and excitement. There are some terrific matchups on the schedule in Week 15, but more importantly, there are some great betting opportunities. Here are four of the best Week 15 betting picks from around the NFL.
Kansas City Chiefs -3.0 at Los Angeles Chargers
Thursday Night Football doesn’t always lead to a great matchup, but there is a terrific battle on tap in Week 15. The Los Angeles Chargers host the Kansas City Chiefs, and this game will have a huge impact on the AFC West standings.
Both the Chiefs and Chargers are averaging 27 points per game this season, and this has the potential to be a shootout. Both teams are going to throw the football a ton, but that plays right into the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chargers are giving up 26 points per game, while Kansas City is allowing just 21 points per night. Defense is going to help determine the outcome of this one, and that is where the Chiefs have an advantage.
Playing at home should give the Chargers a boost for the first half, but they just aren’t going to have enough. Kansas City is starting to take over the AFC once again, and they will win this game on the road by a touchdown.
Indianapolis Colts -2.5 vs. New England Patriots
One of the best games of the weekend should take place on Saturday as the Indianapolis Colts hosts the New England Patriots. New England suddenly looks like a Super Bowl contender while Indianapolis is trying to reach the postseason. Don’t expect this to be a high-scoring game, as each team is giving up less than 22 points per game. The Patriots have been better on defense, keeping teams to less than 16 points per game.
Rookie quarterback Mac Jones has been terrific for the Patriots, but New England does most of its damage on the ground. The Patriots are rushing for 124 yards per game, and the Colts will be loading up to stop them. Indianapolis has won four of their last five games, and running back Jonathan Taylor has been a big reason why. Taylor has rushed for 1,348 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, and he will need to carry this offense again.
New England has been the hottest team in the NFL, but the Colts are able to cool them off and cover the spread.
Los Angeles Rams -4.5 vs. Seattle Seahawks
The NFC West was supposed to be a tight battle this season, but it’s turned into a bit of a two-team race. The Los Angeles Rams are still in that race, but and they need to pick up an impressive win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Seattle has looked much better when quarterback Russell Wilson plays, but they are still struggling to win games. The Seahawks are scoring less than 21 points per game this season, and they are facing a talented defense in this matchup. Los Angeles has scored at least 30 points in each of their last two games, and that offense is starting to click on all cylinders. Injuries have still affected the overall production, but the Rams are scoring 28.2 points per game.
Russell Wilson is going to keep his Seahawks team in this game, but he just won’t have enough to come away with the win. Take the Los Angeles Rams -4.5 as they pick up another important victory.
Green Bay Packers -5.5 at Baltimore Ravens
The final game to look at for Week 15 takes place in Baltimore, and it is a matchup of first-place teams. The Baltimore Ravens host the Green Bay Packers, but things aren’t exactly going very smooth for the home team of late. Green Bay comes into this game with a ton of momentum, and they are also trying to wrap up the number 1 seed in the NFC. The Packers have rattled off two straight wins, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers just continues to deliver. Rodgers has thrown 27 touchdowns this season to only four interceptions. The Packers are still looking for more balance on offense, but that passing attack is hard to stop.
Baltimore could be without quarterback Lamar Jackson, and that would be a massive blow. Jackson suffered an ankle injury in Week 14, and that would affect a Ravens team that wants to run the football.
With or without Jackson, Green Bay is the better team in this game. Take the Packers -5.5 as they cruise to a much-needed win.
