Week 3 NFL Bets to Consider
We move along to Week 3 of the National Football League. Week 2 was a much better week for our picks than Week 1. We are back on track. Now, it’s time to give some of our favorite bets for the upcoming slate of games.

San Francisco 49ers -10 over New York Giants
The 49ers have shown from the beginning of the season they are not here to mess around. They blew the doors off the Steelers in the opener and never got too worried about the Rams in Week 2. Christian McCaffrey is a great talent, but when he is not getting the ball, it’s Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, or George Kittle. Brock Purdy continues to show the league he can get the ball in the hands of the right guys.
This is not going to be a pretty Thursday Night Football game. The Giants, coming off an emotional come-from-behind win, are tired of being on the road. New York will be without Saquan Barkley, and that’s enough to damage the offense. The 49ers win this game by two touchdowns.
Detroit Lions -3.5 over Atlanta Falcons
The Detroit Lions will play a little irritated by losing their home opener to Seattle. This Lions team can still move the ball via the air. The ground game is a bit of a question, especially with the loss of David Montgomery. Look for Jared Goff to air it out again in this one. For Atlanta, playing on the road for the first time this season may be a different animal. By the time this game ends, both teams can discuss being 2-1 on the season. Detroit wins this game by a touchdown or more.
Jacksonville Jaguars -9.5 over Houston Texans
The Jacksonville Jaguars left plenty on the table in losing in Week Two to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Jaguars had opportunities and let the Chiefs off the hook. Rest assured, the Jacksonville coaching staff had plenty to discuss with their team this week to get things straightened out for Week 3. The Jaguars are the favorites in the division, while Houston is the largest underdog.
The Texans have yet to figure it out on the offensive side with C.J. Stroud under center. Look for the Jaguars to score often and keep Stroud in his struggles. This is going to be uncompetitive in the second half. Jacksonville wins big.
Miami Dolphins -7 over Denver Broncos
Riding the hot hand until they can no longer be called upon. The Miami Dolphins looked great in their first two games. Both wins so far have been on the road. Now, Miami gets a home game against a stumbling Denver team. The Dolphins can throw or run the ball and do both effectively. Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Raheem Mostert have emerged as a trio that is nearly impossible to slow down.
For Denver, Sean Payton’s first season has not gone as planned. The offense was not the problem in the recent loss to Washington. The Broncos need a reboot already, and they won’t get it in this rude awakening on the road. Miami wins this game easily.
Kansas City Chiefs -12.5 over Chicago Bears
This is a game between teams heading the opposite way. Since the Week One to the Lions, Kansas City looks like they will get back on track. The win over the Jaguars was a good start. Now, the Chiefs are back home and will be determined to show their home fans what they saw in the opener is not what they will get. For Chicago, after two games, this team seems down and nearly out.
Justin Fields has struggled to start the season, the run game has no one to take charge, and the defense has been poor. Patrick Mahomes gets nice and healthy and puts up big numbers in this game. The Chiefs blow the doors off Chicago, sending them back to the Windy City with a 0-3 start.
