Best NBA Games To Target For Bets This Week
NBA Picks
We are nearing the NBA All-Star Game, and teams are going to want to finish the first half of the season strong before the break comes. There is a loaded schedule of games set to take place this week, with a number of rescheduled games due to COVID issues.
With so many games on the schedule for this week, that also means that there are some great betting opportunities available as well. With that in mind, here are the best NBA games to bet on during the upcoming week. Check out our NBA Odds Page this week for where to get the best value.
Tuesday: Brooklyn Nets at Phoenix Suns
The first game to bet on is a potential NBA Finals preview between the Brooklyn Nets and the Phoenix Suns. This is not going to be a true preview of that potential matchup, though, as Brooklyn is dealing with a ton of injuries. The Nets are just 29-20 entering the week, but they still remain one of the betting favorites to win the NBA Championship. Phoenix is an impressive 40-9 on the year, and they are currently in the middle of another long winning streak.
Without a full roster, it’s hard to see the Nets keeping this game close against an explosive Suns team. Phoenix is going to stay red-hot, and they will beat the Nets without much of an issue.
Wednesday: Denver Nuggets at Utah Jazz
One of the best rivalries in the NBA is the Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz. It’s always a battle when these two teams take the floor, regardless of what the records might be.
Both teams are once again in a tight battle for the Northwest Division title, and that will add some extra juice to this game. Utah is always a very tough place for opponents to play, but Denver has had some success winning on that floor in the past. Denver enters this week red-hot, and they are playing their best basketball of the season. Nikola Jokic is once again leading the way, and the Jazz are going to have a tough time stopping him.
Utah is dealing with a number of injuries at this time, and that is going to affect the outcome of this game. The Jazz are a better team when they are at full strength, but that just isn’t the case in this one.
Look for Denver to go into Utah and pick up an impressive road win over their rivals on Wednesday night.
Thursday: Los Angeles Lakers at LA Clippers
The Lakers and Clippers meet up on Thursday night in Los Angeles, and this is always a highly-anticipated game. This meeting won’t be the same, though, as both teams are missing several key players.
The Lakers enter this week having lost four of their last five games, while the Clippers have gone 3-2 over their last five matchups. The LA Clippers clearly have more momentum at this time, but you can never count out the Lakers in this rivalry. The Clippers are going to be the betting favorites on Thursday night, but that doesn’t mean that it’s going to come easy. The Lakers need to turn their season around, and this would be a terrific game to get that going.
Take the Lakers over the Clippers in this showdown in Los Angeles.
Friday: Chicago Bulls at Indiana Pacers
The Chicago Bulls have fallen off a bit in recent weeks, but injuries have played a key role. Chicago is still one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, and they just continue to be a major surprise.
Indiana has gone in the opposite direction this season, and this could be a team that is blown up at the Trade Deadline. The Pacers enter the week with a record of 18-33, and playing at home hasn’t been that big of an advantage this season either.
The Pacers have to find a way to get stops in this game, but that’s hard to do against the Bulls. Look for the duo of DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine to have a big game on Friday to carry the Bulls. This is still a great rivalry, but the Bulls go into Indiana and pick up a win.
Sunday: Atlanta Hawks at Dallas Mavericks
The final game to target for this week is a matchup in Dallas between the Mavericks and the Atlanta Hawks. Both teams are led by terrific young guards, and each team enters the week with some momentum. Atlanta got off to a pretty rough start in 2021-22, but they are now almost back to the .500 mark. The Hawks have the offensive talent needed to make a run in the NBA Playoffs, but they simply have to get healthy.
Luka Doncic is having another monster season for the Mavericks, and there has been a resurgence from Kristaps Porzingis at times. Dallas wants to score on the offensive end of the floor, and that should turn this game into an up and down battle.
Atlanta is trending in the right direction, but they are going to come up a bit short in this matchup. Take the Mavericks to hold serve at home and win this one.
