Best NFL Week 12 Bets
Best NFL Week 12 Bets
It's Thanksgiving week in the NFL, and this is one of the best times during the regular season. We have three games on Turkey Day and then another 12 throughout the remainder of the weekend. Does it get any better than Thanksgiving football? NO! When you factor in the games on this week's schedule, there are tons of great games with tremendous betting value. There are numerous pick 'em games and tight spreads that we are going to hammer this week!
Here are my best NFL Week 12 bets.
Las Vegas Raiders vs Dallas Cowboys -7.5
The Dallas Cowboys came out against the Kansas City Chiefs last week and did not show up on the road. The defense for Dallas was sensational, but the Chiefs took every opportunity away from their opponents. This was one of the first weeks of the season where Dak Prescott and the Cowboys' offense looked confused. Every opportunity they received, they could not convert into points. This is not a way to play against the reigning AFC champions.
However, good teams bounce back, and I would classify Dallas as an amazing team. They will host the Raiders, who have not seemed to catch a break. Las Vegas lost their coach, has hit a losing streak, and Henry Ruggs was removed from the team.
They are coming off a blowout loss against the Cincinnati Bengals. On Turkey Day, I think Dallas will prevail. The -7.5 spread is not a great number to lay, but the Cowboys are good enough to win by two scores, so I am not worried.
Buffalo Bills vs New Orleans Saints o45 Points
When the Bills and Saints meet on Thanksgiving night, you should hammer the over. I believe the Bills will win, but you never know what you're going to get with Buffalo. However, the over should hit in the third quarter. New Orleans has been playing terrible defense, and they have lost three straight games. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles put up 40 points last week, which is embarrassing for a Saints' defense that was supposed to be legitimate.
Buffalo's defense just gave up 41 points against the Colts on the ground. This makes me think Alvin Kamara will have a big game on Sunday. The Bills are scoring 30 points per game, and the Saints are putting 25 points on the board per contest.
The combination of the two offenses and the defenses not playing well will make this game go way over the total. Good units bounce back, and Josh Allen is prepared for Turkey Day.

New York Jets vs Houston Texans -2.5
The Houston Texans and New York Jets both have two wins on the season. However, these two teams are on different levels of badness. The Jets are the bottom feeders of the NFL, and it does not appear anything can go right for this team.
The Texans are bad, but this does not mean they are not competitive. Houston is 5-5 against the spread compared to the Jets at 2-8. My first reason for picking the Texans is due to the Jets' uncertainty at quarterback. Zach Wilson will likely return this week, but he was not very good during his early starts. Coming off an injury, it's smart to fade New York. The Texans are also coming off a win over the Tennessee Titans where Tyrod Taylor was sensational running the football.
He found the endzone twice with his legs, and New York will have a tough time eliminating this factor. I think the Texans cover this number with ease on Sunday. Another bet in this contest is the under because there is not going to be a lot of points scored.
I see this game being a 21-10 game, which means the score would be way under the total.
Los Angeles Chargers -2.5 vs Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos have not defeated many reputable opponents in 2021. However, the team has shown the ability to win in a surprising fashion over teams like the Cowboys. Nevertheless, this is a rarity considering most of their wins have been over bad teams. The one thing going for the Broncos against the Chargers on Sunday is that they are playing at Mile High Stadium. The Chargers are coming off a tremendous win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.
This game was a shootout and one where the Chargers showed their offensive capability. The Broncos want to run the football, and if Los Angeles finds an offensive rhythm, Denver will not be able to keep up with the onslaught. The Chargers finally looked good last week after some bad offensive performances. If they carry this momentum, they will cover.
Thanksgiving week is one of the best times of the year for football betting. Enjoy the games on Thursday, and best of luck with your bets!
