NCAA Basketball: Conference Tournament Champions Parlay
NCAA Basketball Picks
The NCAA Tournament is less than two weeks away, but there is still plenty that needs to be decided before Selection Sunday. The field of 68 is starting to round into shape, but all of the automatic bids will be claimed by Sunday.
Conference tournament week in college basketball is almost as exciting as the NCAA Tournament, and this is a great warmup to the Big Dance set to take place throughout the month. Some teams are looking to make a surprise run to steal a bid, while others are simply looking for conference bragging rights. There is also a chance to win some real money this week, especially if you are going to build a conference tournament champions parlay. We have our eyes on four of the biggest conferences in the country, and we have picked the four teams that you should include in your parlay.
ACC: Virginia Cavaliers
The Virginia Cavaliers won the ACC regular-season title again this season, but they are not the betting favorites heading into the conference tournament. That would belong to the Florida State Seminoles, who blew a chance to win the conference outright in the season finale.
Florida State is +230 to win the ACC Tournament, while the Virginia Cavaliers are +310. Other teams such as North Carolina (+450) and Virginia Tech (+650) could pull off an upset, but it appears to be a two-team race. Florida State is extremely deep, but it’s simply hard to defeat the Virginia Cavaliers in the month of March. This team can really guard, and that will be important in the ACC Tournament.
Start your parlay off by taking the Virginia Cavaliers +310.
Big Ten: Illinois Fighting Illini
The most anticipated conference tournament is the Big Ten Tournament, as this has been the best league in the country all season long. There are four teams currently ranked in the top-10, and all four of those teams could make a run to the Final Four.
The Michigan Wolverines won the regular-season title, even though Illinois claims that they should at least be crowned co-champs. Iowa and Ohio State struggled a bit down the stretch, but the Hawkeyes and Buckeyes are both loaded with talent. Illinois is coming into this tournament with a huge chip on their shoulder, and perhaps no team in the country is as hot as the Illini. This team just blew out Michigan and stunned Ohio State in the last two games of the regular season.
Ayo Dosunmu came back to Illinois to lead this team to a Big Ten and National Championship, and he will take the first step with a dominating performance this week in Indianapolis. Michigan is the big favorite at +175, but the Illinois Fighting Illini are winning this tournament in Indianapolis. Take the Fighting Illini +375 as the second leg of your conference tournament champions parlay.

Big 12 Conference: Baylor Bears
The Big 12 Conference no longer belongs to the Kansas Jayhawks as the Baylor Bears reigned supreme this season. Baylor suffered just one loss during the season, and they will be a number one seed when the brackets are revealed.
Kansas has started to come on late in the year, and they are listed at +325 to win the conference tournament. West Virginia and Texas are both at +700, while Oklahoma State sits at +800. Anything can happen in the month of March, but the Baylor Bears are simply too good to be upset. Baylor can score points in a hurry, and their defense has the ability to completely shut down any opponent.
You won’t get a ton of value with this play, but adding Baylor at -134 to win the Big 12 Conference is a safe bet to make.
SEC: Arkansas Razorbacks
Perhaps there isn’t a more wide-open field than in the SEC, but that doesn’t mean this conference doesn’t have some legitimate Final Four contenders. Alabama is currently on the line for a number two-seed, and they are the favorites to win this tournament at +220.
The Arkansas Razorbacks have come out of nowhere this season, but they have been on a tear since the month of February. Arkansas is listed at +320, and that just feels a bit too low based on their recent play.
LSU (+500), Tennessee (+525), and Florida (+575) round out the top-five in terms of betting odds, and these teams all have the ability to get hot at the right time. Tennessee has spent some time in the top-10 this season, but they have struggled over the last few weeks. There will likely be some upsets in the SEC, but Alabama and Arkansas won’t let that happen to them. These two teams will meet up in the title game, and it will be the Razorbacks that continue this terrific run.
Complete your four-team conference championship parlay by taking the Arkansas Razorbacks +320 to win the SEC Tournament.
