MLB MLB Parlay Picks
There are only two regular-season Friday slates remaining in 2021 for Major League Baseball. Fridays are great for bettors because it gives us a chance to win heading into the weekend. When betting baseball, you should implement parlays into your daily routine because of the possible payout.
Here is our winning MLB parlay for September 24, 2021.
Cardinals Over Cubs in Game Two
The pitching matchup does not favor St. Louis in the first game of this doubleheader. However, the second part of the doubleheader heavily favors the Cardinals.
St. Louis has won 12 straight games, equating to three sweeps. They began by breaking out the brooms against the Mets and followed it up by sweeping the Padres and Brewers.
The winning streak started with two victories over the Cincinnati Reds. This team looks unstoppable heading into the playoffs, and they will face a weak Cubs team at 67-85. Jack Flaherty will be on the bump for St. Louis. Adam Wainwright has turned into the team’s ace, but Flaherty has been exceptional when healthy. He is 9-2 with a 3.08 ERA, and he will pitch against Zach Davies. Davies is 6-11 with a 5.49 ERA in 2021.
Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt have led the team since the beginning of the winning streak. Goldschmidt has defined consistency, and Arenado has been delivering in the power categories. The way the Cardinals have been playing, it would not be surprising to see them pull off a sweep, but lock up your bet for game two.
Red Sox Over Yankees
The Rivalry is back between the Yankees and Red Sox for the final time in the regular season. If you are not betting on this game, I highly suggest you include it in your portfolio. Boston has been unstoppable, like the Cardinals over the past few weeks. They have been wearing the yellow City Connect jerseys, and this has propelled them to victory. Boston has performed well against New York, and I think the same fate will occur on Friday night.
Gerrit Cole will pitch for New York in the first game of the series. Cole was the AL Cy Young frontrunner before giving up seven runs in 5.2 innings against the Indians in his last start. Cole will throw against Nathan Eovaldi, who has been solid at home.
Eovaldi is 10-8 with a 3.58 ERA over 173.2 innings. His splits at home are much better, and the Red Sox are blasting the baseball. Rafael Devers and Xander Bogaerts are the two players leading the team, but there are so many streaking players for the Red Sox.
The Yankees are coming off a sweep of the Rangers, but they should dominate Texas. This team is on the brink of playoff elimination, and they will come up short on Friday against Boston.
Astros Over Athletics
The Astros are on a roll at the moment, and it has corresponded with a cold streak from the Tampa Bay Rays. Both these teams are headed to the postseason, but they are running close for the first seed in the league.
Houston is a legitimate threat in the postseason, and they have found a way to get hot at the right time. Zack Greinke will be on the hill for the Astros in the first game of the series against Frankie Montas. The pitching numbers favor Montas, but Houston tends to win with Greinke on the bump. The Astros are trying to prove they can win the World Series without cheating. Every win is critical down the final stretch of the season to solidify first place.
The Astros are coming off a loss, but they are 4-1 in their past five games. The Athletics have dropped their past four, getting swept against the Mariners. Oakland had a chance at the Wild Card, but they imploded late.
Giants Over Rockies
The biggest surprise in baseball this season has been the San Francisco Giants. San Francisco is on the verge of winning the National League West, but they must continue winning. The Dodgers are on the verge of regaining the top spot.
Los Angeles is in second place at one game back, so the division belongs to any team at the moment. However, the Giants control their own destiny if they continue winning. Nobody gave this team a chance, and they are hungry to prove their worth. This must factor into your betting because it’s a realistic scenario that will affect the game. The Giants will play the Rockies on the road tonight. Colorado plays well at home, but this should not play into your thought process.
The Giants are 50-28 on the road, so they play well anywhere. Alex Wood will pitch for San Francisco against Peter Lambert, who will be returning from the 60 day IL. The numbers favor the Giants in this game to complete your winning MLB parlay for September 24, 2021.
